Indonesia Prepares for Post COVID-19 Factory Relocation

COVID-19 outbreak has put pressures for manufacturing giants to diversify its production facilities from one location. Indonesian government itself has made Brebes area in Central Java as a potential location for the relocation. The 4,000 Ha of land are available for the relocation, as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Pandjaitan reiterated. In addition, Ministry of Industry has also prepared more than 27 Industrial Estates for investors who want to invest and relocates their production facilitiy to Indonesia. Batam has also made lands available for factory relocation. To attract more investor, The Indonesian Chambers of Commerce (KADIN) Batam will also provides 5 years rent-free land for investment coming into the designated area.
