Communication Network (Optical Fiber & Data Access) :

Government of DKI Jakarta Province plans to develop a fiber optic network to reduce the number of Base Transceiver Station (BTS). Development of fiber optic network is an advantage for the owner of BTS because of the system and the equipment can be attached to existing buildings and does not require a high tower, for example in street lights or sidewalks. Fiber optic network development plan is in line with the plan to set the BTS tower, which has been built for 2,092 pieces. The development of a fiber optic network is expected to support the increased use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program in schools, because the networks are easier and cheaper. The success of ICT in schools will improve learning opportunities, competitiveness, accountability and public image. *

Electricity :

Electricity demand in Jakarta is currently at 4,500 MW, where Jakarta can only provide 2,500 MW, while the remaining 2,000 MW supplied from outside Jakarta. The increase in electricity needs per year reaches 6-7 percent. It is estimated that the demand for electricity in Jakarta in the next 5 years will reach 5,000 MW (500 MW additional for the Jakarta Monorail, Jakarta Metro System and Pulau Seribu region). *
